Call for Nominations for the 2018 NACHA Payments Awards Now Open

The Electronic Payments Association® announced today that the call for nominations for the 2018 NACHA Payments Awards are now open. The awards – which celebrate proven accomplishment and leadership in the payments industry and recognize and reward the payments innovations defining the future – include both the NACHA Excellence in Payments Award and the NACHA Challenge Awards.

Winners will be announced at PAYMENTS 2018, the definitive destination for faster payments education that will take place April 29-May 2 in San Diego, Calif. Online registration for the conference is now open.

“Each year, the NACHA Payments Awards honors the best of the best for both demonstrated performance and results, as well as original thinking and creative problem solving to benefit users of electronic payments and propel the industry forward,” said Scott M. Lang, AAP, Senior Vice President, Association Services at NACHA. “We are looking forward to another exciting competition culminating at PAYMENTS 2018.”

The NACHA Excellence in Payments Award honors an individual or organization that has shown superior leadership and accomplishment in the development, implementation or advancement of domestic or international electronic payments.

The 2018 “challenge” for competing teams or individuals in the NACHA Challenge is to propose a solution to enable ACH usage for consumer and/or corporate payments without users having to supply their bank routing and account numbers. NACHA Challenge Award recipients can win up to $25,000 in prize money.

All payments industry participants are invited to submit nominations for the 2018 NACHA Payments Awards. Nominations will be accepted through Feb. 16. All nominations for both awards will be reviewed by a team of payments industry experts to determine the finalists for each award. All industry participants will have an opportunity to help determine the winners of both awards through online voting beginning in April for the Excellence in Payments Award, and on-site at PAYMENTS 2018 for the NACHA Challenge Award.

Winners of the awards will be announced May 1, during the 2018 NACHA Payments Awards Luncheon in San Diego.
